The Letters That Lie

Every other language on this shelf is worth reading because you can. This one is worth reading because you cannot - and you will not notice. Look at the Russian for restaurant and your eyes hand you PECTOPAH, because all eight letters are ones you have known since you were four and five of them mean something else. Sort the alphabet into the honest letters, the liars and the strange ones, and find out that the strange ones were never the problem. Then find out the liars are not lying: they are Greek, and they have been saying the same thing for a thousand years.
