How Learning Works, at Eight

Reading it again feels like learning. It mostly is not, and this pack proves that on the child rather than telling them — they predict their own score twice, turn the page over, and find out. Then the two things that do work, both of which feel worse while you are doing them: shut the book and say it back, and do a little on four days instead of a lot on one.
