Nobody Is Reading It To You

Twelve stories a child reads alone, and not one word in any of them has gone untaught. Six steps that follow the phonics exactly — three letters, then two letters one sound, then blends, then the e that says nothing, then vowel teams, then the r that eats the vowel — and the build refuses to run if a single word appears that the steps before it did not cover. They are plain on purpose: a sentence read alone at five is worth more than better prose read to you.
