DIRECTIONS: What can the app actually see about you? Read the box, then give two meanings for each row.
It can see what you watched. It cannot see what you thought of it.

How long you stayed, whether you finished, went back, or stopped scrolling: that is all its evidence, and none of it is your opinion.

So watched to the end and liked arrive looking exactly the same — and so do could not look away, could not believe it and fell asleep with it playing.
You did thisWhat could it possibly mean? Give two.
Watched something all the way through
Watched the same thing three times
Stopped scrolling and stared

What It Is Measuring — What Follows

Why you saw that · Page 2 of 2

  1. You watch something to the end because you could not believe how bad it was. Say what the machine records, and what it will do next.
  2. Suppose it could ask you afterwards "was that worth your time?" and use the answer. Say one way your feed would change — and one honest reason a company might not want that question asked.
  3. Somebody says "the algorithm knows me better than I know myself". Using this sheet, say what it actually knows, and what it definitely does not.
Nobody here is wicked. One number, time spent, and one kind of evidence, what you did. The rest follows, even when the people running it are nice.
