A fix is not a better word. It is a different sentence — and each meaning needs its own.
  1. Rewrite sentence 1 so that only the bowl can have broken.
  2. Rewrite sentence 1 so that only the table can have broken.
Sometimes the pronoun is not pointing at two things. It is pointing at nothing. Fix these.
  1. In the article it says the bridge will close in March.
  2. They say you should drink eight glasses of water a day.
  3. My brother left his phone on the bus, which was really annoying.
10. Find something you wrote in the last week with two people in it. Circle every it, they, this and which, and write the noun each one stands for. Then copy out the one sentence where you could not write a noun, and underneath it write the two things a stranger could think it means.
